The Tamed Cloud project aims to create an aesthetic, sensible and affective relationship with a set of data under the guise of a cloud, living and pliable, similar to a swarm of birds. Tamed Cloud proposes an immersive experience in virtual reality, with the possibility to interact, in its current POC version, with an ensemble of pictures from the MoMA’s (Museum of Modern Art) collection, according to gestural and postural modalities as well as voice conversation thanks to the IBM Watson Cognitive Platform. The user, acting as a researcher, a collector, or a curator, can select groups of data, peruse them, organize them spatially around himself. The behaviors implemented in the cloud favor certain comparisons and fortunate associations, thus meeting the objectives of access and discovery with respect to large masses of data. The concept of "Tamed Cloud" optimizes access, processing and memorization of the visualized data.
We present a wearable VR accessory for Head Mounted Displays (HMD) called Windtherm that provides tactile stimuli of temperature-controlled wind to a user’s face and try to enhance the senses of immersion and presence in the virtual environment. Windtherm consists of a Wind Module that blows wind whose temperature and direction to be blown are controlled using Peltier elements, a fan, thermal sensors, and servo motors; and a Control Module that supports controlling temperature and direction of wind incorporating with PC. We hope the visitors to come and try the new multimodal VR experience with the proposed device for providing temperature-controlled wind in addition to the visual images and sound.

We propose a new multi-sensory interface, named HaptoBOX, in combination with a video see-through mixed reality (MR) HMD. The device is a physical MR display by which a user can experience MR world enhanced with audio and vibro-haptic feeling. The user can see a virtual object in a cubic virtual space overlaid on the device and feel life-like movement of the virtual object in the cube. That is not ghost-like hologram, but clear and solid image by using video see-through MR technology. User’s Hands can be also seen overlaid naturally on the virtual object with correct occlusion keeping spatial consistency. The system comprises HaptoBOX devices, a video see-through MR HMD, and 3D headphones. The 3D headphone helps to improve the quality of MR experiences by presenting sounds so that sounds can be heard from inside of HaptoBOX.
We propose a new programming learning tool with a tangible user interface to alleviate difficulties of beginners. Some application programs have been developed for learning programming. However, it does not still change that a user has to directly operate the software on a computer by using a keyboard and/or a mouse. On the other hand, the Code Weaver brings program code, which is digital existence, into real space and it bridges between physical experience and creating program logic. By using Code Weaver system, users can enjoy creating program by arranging cards on a table, each of which represents a component of program code. The user controls movement of a little virtual spider projected on the table. The spider draws various shapes with its thread along movement. It enables multiple users, typically students and a teacher, to enjoy learning programming by sharing the table together.
“SEER” is a compact humanoid robot developed as results of deep research on gaze and human facial expression. The robot is able to focus the gaze directions on a certain point, without being fooled by the movement of the neck. As a result, the robot seems as if it has its own intentions in following and paying attention to its surrounding people and environment. Using a camera censor, whilst tracking eyes it has interactive gaze. In addition, by drawing the curve of the eyebrow using soft elastic wire, I were able to enrich the expression of the robot as if it lives with emotions. With the facial motion tracking and mirroring ability, it gives us connecting impressions.
There is an experiential gap between the person enjoying VR with HMD and those watching it around it. TeleSight enables cooperative experience with a third party in the real world by reproducing the VR space and the avator of VR player using robot and projection system. It aims at presenting new communication and embodied interaction between VR player and third party player. A third party player can be understanding that what happen in virtual world by robot movement and projected vision. And also a third party player can embodied interaction to VR player through avatar robot. This project has won Laval Virtual Awards at the IVRC 2018 final stage.

When Pinocchio tell lies, "Nose extends long" So we thought if we could experience Pinocchio's characteristic physical change, "nasal changes" The purpose of this project is to realize Pinocchio's "nasal experience" when you lie, by using a body expansion expression in which his nose stretches, a tactile sense change in which your nose bumps into something, a change in the temperature of your nose, and an olfactory expression, etc., according to the video in VR space.

Dye Hard Lab is a VR game designed for HTC Vive. It's a sandbox/puzzle game using colors as the core gameplay mechanic.
Augmented Reality Game available on Android, the player is immersed in a Pirate world and must try to reach the treasure using paper cards. Depending on the order they use the cards, the character roles will be shaken up and the game will have different outcomes.
Our goal is to let players understand the right way to protect themselves from a fire, and show a correct way to evacuate from a burning building. In the project, the player will escape from a hotel on fire by walking on our original device we have created (the detailed explanation is in “project description”.) We believe we have been successful in creating a realistic and immersive content through clear images and by the removal of VR controllers (we do not use controllers, such as Oculus Touch or motion controllers for Windows MR.) The players will feel as if they are actually in the field with fears and pressure.
Gauntlet is a fast-paced battle game set in Virtua, a fantasy-medieval kingdom, where two players battle each other. In this virtual reality, they must attack and defend themselves by casting spells. In order to do so, each player wears dedicated VR gloves that replicate their hands' movement. The museum of magic of Blois asked our team to develop an application to modernize the existing experience. For this we imagined five new magic environments in which visitors will immerse themselves using HP Z backpacks and VR headsets. Walking and following a path in a 100m2 room, the visitors will travel between indoors and outdoors virtual environment, experiencing a whole set of emotions during these four minutes.
